How does a tap card work?
There's a small NFC chip inside. When it's held near the top of a smartphone, the phone opens your bbwd.link digital card in its browser. No battery, no app, no pairing.
Which phones are supported?
iPhone XR and newer read NFC automatically. Most Android phones do too, as long as NFC is switched on in settings. Every product also has a QR code, which any phone camera can scan.
Does the person I'm meeting need an app?
No. Your card is a regular web page that opens in their browser. They can call, text, email or save you to their contacts from there.
Is there a monthly subscription?
No. The prices on our shop are one-time and include your custom digital card at your own bbwd.link address.
What do I need to send you?
Our order form asks for everything: a headshot, your logo if you have one, contact details, social links and any buttons you want on the card. It takes about five minutes.
Do I get to approve the design?
Yes. We email you a proof of your digital card and your physical product. Nothing is printed or programmed until you approve it.
How long does it take?
Most proofs go out within two business days of your order. Physical products ship after you approve, and your digital card goes live the day you approve it.
Can I update my card later?
Yes. Email or call us with the change and we update your digital card. Your tap card and QR code keep pointing to the same link, so you never reprint.
Can I pick my bbwd.link address?
Yes, you choose it on the order form (for example bbwd.link/jordan-rivera). We'll confirm it's available or suggest a close alternative.
Can one card hold more than one link?
Your digital card holds as many links as you like. Each physical product opens one destination: your digital card, or your review page for review products.
Where do you ship?
Anywhere in the United States. Shipping cost and timing are shown at checkout.
What if my tap card stops working?
Contact us. If a chip fails under normal use, we'll replace it.
Who is behind BBWD Link?
BBWD Link is a service of Back Bay Web Design, a web design studio in Deptford, NJ. The same team that builds websites for local businesses designs and hosts your card.
